Camp Accommodations

Camp Accommodations

Campsites

Cub Scout dens and packs will camp together in one of our campsites.  Single attendants will be assigned a camp site with other groups.  Canvas tents will be provided for each attendee within the campsites, however given the price, quality and availability of tents you are welcome to bring your own tent and use the canvas ones for storage.  At Camp Oyo, you will be assigned to one of our rustic cabins, or you may choose to set up your own tent in a campsite.

Each Campsite will have a latrine, sink and potable water provided.  Electricity is not provided, if this creates a medical problem accommodations will be made.   Please remember that the Boy Scouts of America youth protection policies do not allow adults and youth to share a tent unless they are the youth’s legal guardian.  Each campsite will also have 2 picnic tables, a dining fly (tarp shelter), trash can, bulletin board and a flagpole.

Bathrooms and Shower Facilities

Shower Facilities will be available at the pool house 24 hours.  Separate showers are provided for Adults and youth as well as Men and Women please make sure to follow the signs posted to ensure youth protection standards are met.  In addition to the latrines in each campsite flush toilets will be available at the pool house, dining hall, welcome center and exchange lodge.

Damaged Equipment

It is expected that Scouts will properly take care of all equipment they use. Sometimes, however, equipment is damaged and it needs to be repaired or replaced. If members of your unit misuse camp equipment, the cost of repairing or replacing any damaged equipment should be settled before your unit leaves camp. Damages should be reported to a member of the Ranger Staff. In the event damages are discovered after your departure from camp, an invoice will be sent to your unit for payment.

If you find something that needs repair in your campsite, please notify your assigned staff member or write a "Work Order" for the Ranger Staff. Work Order forms are located in dining halls and camp offices, and each camp has a designated location to collect work order requests. Our Ranger Staffs pride themselves on meeting your needs in a timely fashion.
