Location of Summer Camps

Location of Simon Kenton Council Summer Camps

Camp Lazarus Location

4422 Columbus Pike, Delaware, OH 43015

Camp Lazarus is located on U.S. Highway 23 nine miles north of Columbus (I-270) and three miles south of Delaware, Ohio.

From Columbus, travel north of I-270 on U.S. Highway 23, traveling past Powel Road, Lewis Center Road, and Winter Road. Camp is on the left (west side of highway) just past the Delaware Career Center.

From Delaware, travel south on U.S. Highway 23, past Cheshire Road. Camp is on the right (west side of highway).

The camp parking lot is 100 yards into camp on the left. A camp staff member will greet you. A map to Camp Lazarus is included with this guide.

Camp Oyo Location

168 Shawnee Road, West Portsmouth, OH 45663 (Unfortunately, most mapping software shows the camp location incorrectly; please follow these driving directions.)

Choose your best route to Portsmouth, Ohio. From Portsmouth, take U.S. Highway 52 west for approximately 7 miles to State Route 125. Turn right (north) on S.R. 125 and travel approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto Hobey Hollow Road (also Shawnee Forest Road 1). The Camp Oyo parking lot will be about 100 yards ahead on your left, with much of the camp to your right. A member of the camp staff will greet you in the parking lot. A map to Camp Oyo is included with this guide.

Chief Logan Reservation Location

3600 Scout Camp Road, Ray, OH 45672-9676

The camp is located approximately 5 miles off of U.S. Highway 35 between Chillicothe and Jackson, Ohio.

If you are approaching from the west (via Chillicothe) exit left onto Elam Road. After ¼ mile Elam Road merges into Bronx Corners Road just past Trippie’s Warehouse. Continue on Bronx Corners Road for ¾ mile, then turn left onto Boy Scout Road.

If you are approaching from the east (via Jackson), exit right onto Bronx Corners Road. After ½ mile, turn right onto Boy Scout Road.

Once on Boy Scout Road, travel 2 ½ miles, and the road ends at John W. Barbee Road. Turn left onto John W. Barbee Road and proceed 1.2 miles to a hairpin turn. Stay to the right through the hairpin, and cautiously proceed another 1 ½ miles to the camp gateway. The parking lot is straight ahead, and there will be a camp staff member to guide you. A map to Chief Logan Reservation is included with this guide.
