Simon Kenton Council currently receives funding from 14 county United Ways. In order to qualify for this funding Simon Kenton Council must apply to be a funded partner annually with each United Way. In each, United Way funding for the Boy Scouts is categorized under youth development, strengthening families, or education. The Scouting program is a highly valued partner in each one of our communities and support from the United Way makes up 19% of our annual operating budget.
As a Scouting volunteer you can make a major difference in the amount the Council receives by designating your annual United Way contribution to Simon Kenton Council.
Please make sure to specify your designation on your United Way pledge form by using the proper code designated for Simon Kenton Council. This code should be provided to you along with the pledge form.
If you need assistance obtaining Simon Kenton Council’s designation code contact Brian Asbury at 436-7200 Ext. 216 or basbury@skcbsa.org.
