International Awareness Religious Emblem 04/21/2012 8:30 AM - 1:30 AM Holy Resurrection Melkite Catholic Church 4611 Glenmawr Ave, Columbus
The Catholic Committee on Scouting offers an annual International Awareness emblem program. This program is one of the best kept secrets in the Columbus Diocese for any youth or adult, male or female. A fascinating and informative program is presented in the Holy Resurrection Melkite Church, an Eastern Rite Catholic Church in Columbus. A two and one-half hour, Saturday morning, program for Cub Scout age youth and their parents and leaders earns each participant an International Pin and Patch. Boy Scout age youth, their parents and leaders participate in a four and one-half hour program that provides interesting historical and practical information, a lunch and an International Pin, Patch and Medallion. This program clearly provides the best and the most interesting way to earn this emblem. The Pope and the International Catholic Conference of Scouting (ICCS) demonstrate their awareness of Scouting in the Catholic Church, throughout the world, by providing this opportunity for its members to meet together as friends in the Catholic Church.
The event will be held: Saturday, April 2, 2011 Holy Resurrection Melkite Catholic Church 4611 Glenmawr Ave, Columbus
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
